Fei decided back in 2004 that when his visa expired, he’d get it renewed, in person, at the Chinese Embassy in New York. At that time he asked if I wanted to go with him and check out the Big Apple. I told him that it was HIGHLY improbable because by 2007, I would have a wife and three kids. But, If by some miracle I didn’t have a wife or kids, I’d be happy to go. Long story short, We booked 10 days at Manhattan’s historic Roosevelt Hotel. I must say, I prefer fresh air and wide open spaces.
