I’d never heard of the Fiery Furnace before this trip. But I’ll never forget it. Hiking down through this mass of sandstone ‘fins’ is reminiscent of the Bryce Canyon Navajo Loop trail. There were endless amazing red rock formations and too many arches to count. Our guide led us through thick and thin as she explained the history, geology, foliage and even survival techniques. The scenery was astounding. We could even see the moon through Skull Arch.
